Come 'n' Try Day

Thanks to everyone who attended the relaunch of the Geelong Badminton Centre and its recent $150,000 refurbishment in conjunction with  the City of Greater Geelong.

The come 'n' try day was held successfully on Sunday July 25 2010 at the Geelong Badminton Centre, Leisuretime Centre, 262-282 Anakie Road, Bell Post Hill.

Everyone enjoyed a leisurely and fun-filled Sunday afternoon, with members of the Australian and Victorian representative badminton squads, playing clinics, several demonstration matches and giveaways, with free healthy snacks and drinks.

Mayor of the City of Greater Geelong, Cr John Mitchell, and ward councillor, Kylie Fisher, officially reopened the stadium.

The Badminton Geelong Stadium is finally finished with our major works! Brand new timber playing surfaces have been laid which has enhanced our stadium, setting us up to have some of the best playing facilities in Australia.

2010 has been a big year for Badminton Geelong, firstly with new members elected to the board of BGI, with heaps of new and exciting Ideas for the club and the direction we are heading towards in the future.


The centre is now open for pennants and social hire.
